A campaign is a temporary waiver or bonus sitting on top of the ücret ve komisyon table. The useful one matches spend you already make, not a mall poster.

Valrun does not rank banks or “best” campaigns. Matching written terms to your file is the whole method.

What a campaign is allowed to change

Read the campaign PDF or screen as a list of exceptions, not as the product.

Typical exception types:

  • Annual fee waived for a stated period, or while payroll stays
  • Extra points or miles on named MCC groups (groceries, fuel, bills)
  • Merchant taksit at stated terms
  • A welcome bonus after a minimum turnover in a window

The product underneath still has: KKB check, income check, KYC, cash-advance pricing, FX, late fees, a credit limit. A campaign does not skip underwriting. A “guaranteed gift” ad that asks you to apply at five banks is usually inquiry spam.

The matching test (do this on paper)

Write four lines before you click apply:

  1. What I already spend in TRY each month (grocery, pharmacy, bills, fuel). Not what I might spend to chase a bonus.
  2. What the campaign pays on those lines (points per TRY, or a waiver). Convert points to a TRY guess using the bank’s own catalog or a conservative assumption. Label it illustrative until you confirm.
  3. What the table still charges (year-two annual fee, FX if you shop foreign sites, avans if you might use ATMs).
  4. What I must do to keep the deal (minimum spend, salary, digital statement only).

If line 3 plus the extra spend in line 4 exceeds line 2, the campaign is a costume. Keep the product only if you needed the card anyway for bureau and TRY POS.

Welcome bonuses that fail foreigners

A bonus that requires high turnover in 60 or 90 days (confirm the actual window on your offer) pushes people to put rent-adjacent life plus holiday shopping on one card. Rent often cannot sit on a card. Foreign sites may bill in EUR and eat FX. You stretch, miss the due date, and the bonus was cheaper than the late fee and the KKB mark.

If you cannot hit the minimum with spend you already make, ignore the bonus. Apply, if you apply at all, for the card underneath.

Salary campaigns

Payroll-linked cards sometimes waive fees or add points while the wage sits at that bank. Ask:

  • Does the waiver need a minimum wage amount?
  • What happens the month payroll stops or moves?
  • Is the card still useful as a fee-paying product after that?

Job changes are common for expats. A campaign that assumes you never leave is fragile.

Taksit campaigns versus needing a loan

Zero-interest taksit on a washing machine you were buying this month can be rational. Taksit on a TV because the poster said 12 months is how revolving limits fill up. Missed taksit can revert to interest (confirm in the contract). The campaign is not ihtiyaç kredisi. If you need a loan, shop a loan.

Where to read campaigns (and where not to)

Use:

  • The bank’s official site and app, logged into your customer segment
  • The PDF or in-app terms linked from the offer
  • A clerk printing or showing the same text

Be careful with:

  • Unofficial aggregators that want a click to “see all offers” (possible extra inquiries)
  • Screenshot threads from 2019
  • Mall stands that quote numbers not on the current table

If two banks show similar posters, you still apply to one complete file first. Campaign similarity is not a reason to stack KKB inquiries.

Illustrative walk-through (not a live offer)

Suppose a poster says first-year fee waived and 10 percent points on groceries. You spend a modest grocery amount in TRY already. You also buy from US and EU sites in foreign currency.

On paper: grocery bonus might be worth something. FX on the foreign sites might erase it. Year two, the annual fee returns. If the net is negative unless you inflate grocery spend, the campaign failed the matching test. Confirm every rate and point rule with the bank. Numbers in this paragraph are fictional structure, not quotes.

After you take a campaign

Save the terms the day you accept. Screenshot the end date. Put a reminder before the waiver dies. When the reminder fires, repeat the matching test. Close or keep based on the table, not on inertia. Closing has utilization effects if you carry balances elsewhere. Ask before you close.

Do not apply for a second campaign card the week the first one arrives. Let a statement cycle teach KKB how you pay.

What “best campaign” means on this site

It means: the exception list that fits spend you already make, on a card whose remaining fees you accept, at a bank that can board your ID and income. It does not mean a ranked table. Anyone publishing live “top 10 Turkey credit card campaigns” as facts is writing advertising, not a field guide.

Disclaimer: General information only. Not financial advice and not a catalog of current offers. Campaigns change. Confirm terms, fees, and eligibility with the bank before you apply.
